One of the best ways to get around in Europe is obviously by train. But when you have to go long distances, sleeper trains are definitely the way to go in order to maximize your time. Especially when you have a long ride like our 13 hour one from Rome to Heidelberg.
It's great to fall asleep in one country and wake up at your destination in another. Almost like you didn't travel at all. It's not the most comfortable bed I've ever had and it's a cramped room in 2nd class. There are six people sharing a room with three beds stacked on opposite walls. But it is efficient!
We booked all our train rides using our Eurail pass. We'll have to post a travel tip about that one at a later time though.
I am not clear, are the six people in the same area? Like, right there? You all look well, it’s so nice to see your adventure. It makes me happy.
Yes! The only way all six of you can fit in the room at once is when you’re laying in bed. And the beds are stacked 3 high on one wall and 3 high on the opposite wall. Very cramped but totally worth it. Sleeping while taking a 13 hr train ride makes the time fly by!
I’m glad to hear you’re having a pleasant time. I’m playing the texas millions megalotto and hoping to hit it big. I already won $3 last week. That way, I can meet up with you guys who knows where. Auston check you personal facebook email. You both look really relaxed and content.
Thanks. Let us know if you win big! What a dream that’d be…
