Are you a travel agent looking for some unique LGBT+ trip opportunities for your clients?

In case you don't know us already, we're David and Auston, but you can call us Two Bad Tourists. We started this blog as a resource for LGBT+ travelers featuring international gay-friendly destinations, festivals and events. We aim to inspire LGBT+ people to explore the world wherever they might want to go, while offering travel tips and advice we've picked up after 10 years on the road. In addition to being professional bloggers for nearly a decade, we're also ASTA and IGLTA members as well as an IATA Accredited agency. Since 2018, we've hosted our own trips to Greece and Croatia and we added Spain to the mix in 2022. And that's where you come in! By helping us promote and sell these trips to your clients, we'll pay you a 8%-10% commission on bookings.

Our first hosted trip started in Croatia and then the following year we sailed the Greek Islands. Since we first started our own trips in 2018 we have hosted over 70 guests on some amazing summer adventures. We've enjoyed getting to know readers of our blog and our social media followers since we all share the same passion. We've had a blast on all these trips and gotten such great feedback from our guests that we decided to expand our hosted trips in 2023.

While all our destinations are incredibly different, each country offers amazing travel opportunities. Greece and Italy are amazing for sailing, Spain is laid back and gay-friendly and France is world-renowned and classic. So for 2023, we're excited to announce that we're partnering again with Pride Sailing Holidays to promote not just one but two gay sailing itineraries to both Italy and Greece. In 2023, we won't personally be able to host and join your clients, but we have no doubt they'll have an amazing week with the Pride Sailing Holidays team as we've sailed these trips many times with them ourselves. Plus we offer pre and post tour add-ons to extend their trips. And in addition, we will be personally hosting our 2nd edition of our Barcelona & Sitges gay group tour in May 2023, after a successful launch of this trip in 2022. We'll also be hosting a gay group trip to Madrid in September 2023 and a gay group cruise on Virgin Voyages to Spain and France in October 2023.

Want to learn more? Check out the three trips below and let us know if you're interested in working together to promote these incredible destinations to your clients. If you're interested in collaborating, you can contact us here and we'll get back in touch.

Spain is an amazing destination and it's one of the most progressive places in the world for the LGBT+ community. We've partnered with The Queer Travel who helped assemble the itinerary of this gay Spain group tour and will manage the reservations as well as all the on-the-ground logistics. This will be an awesome gay group trip so your clients can come with a friend, that special someone or even come alone. In fact, many guests on our hosted trips are solo travelers so they won't be alone and they can make new friends while we explore together. Spain is famous around the world for its cultural traditions, great beaches, history and welcoming atmosphere. As the third country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage back in 2005, it’s no surprise that Spain is welcoming to the LGBT+ community. For the 2nd year, we'll be the hosts on this incredible trip to Barcelona and Sitges where you can tickle your imagination with images of flamenco dancers in the night, sounds of wine glasses clashing amongst Spanish banter, infinite tapas landing on your table and the sea breeze lightly brushing your skin as the water crashes onto the coast. The Spaniards live with passion and a thirst for life. Open your heart, mind and drink it in. Let us show you the magic of this amazing destination.

Madrid is perhaps not as well known of a gay destination as its Catalan sister in the northeast, Barcelona. But the truth is that Madrid is a bigger city with more offerings from a nightlife perspective and many LGBT+ oriented events throughout the year. There are very few cities in the world that offer the same kind of welcome to LGBT+ residents and visitors. Madrid is a fantastic destination especially if you enjoy local neighborhoods, art, the gay scene, nightlife and beautiful weather. After exploring the capital city for several days, we'll later head out on day trips to both Toledo and Segovia, which are both just an hour's drive from Madrid. Toledo is a medieval town that was once the capital of Spain before the Royal family moved the capital to Madrid in the 1500's. Segovia is another famous town nearby known for its Roman aqueduct as well as the fairytale-style castle. We'll spend the days exploring these medieval towns through their curving alleyways, cultural museums and historic monuments. We'll be your hosts on this incredible trip to Madrid with day trips to Toledo & Segovia from September 7-13, 2023.

Join us as we host a gay group trip on Virgin Voyages next year from October 15-22, 2023. The 7-night cruise is a round-trip departure from Barcelona and we will visit some amazing ports of call. Virgin Voyages is a brand new, adults-only cruise line that just started sailing in 2021. Although we will be joining a large ship with other guests, our small gay group trip will offer daily group dinners together, group shore excursions, private cocktail parties, group activities and more! Virgin Voyages is one of the most LGBT+ friendly travel brands on the market and their new concept also changes everything you know about cruising….no more buffets or large dining halls, free WiFi, and there are no hidden fees since gratuity/tips are already included. These are just a few of the cool benefits you can expect, plus drag queen bingo, nighttime parties and many extra surprises. As usual on our gay group trip, friends, couples and solo travelers are welcome. In fact, nearly 2/3 of our bookings on this cruise are solo travelers so far!

Due to the past years’ success and popularity of these sailing trips in both Croatia and Greece, we are expanding our partnership with Pride Sailing Holidays for both a Croatia and a Greece gay sailing trip in the same summer season. So depending on your clients' choice of destination or available time off, they can join either one, or both! For Greece in 2023 we specifically chose Athens as the departure port since it makes booking flights simple with lots of direct options from Europe and abroad. The itinerary from Athens features a variety of islands and mainland ports including Hydra, Spetses, Porto Heli, Ermioni, Poros and Agistri. This group of islands known as the Saronics offers picturesque and energetic stops to discover local culture, classical architecture and the best of Greek cuisine, all while enjoying breathtaking islands, ports and local hospitality. It's the side of Greece where sailors gravitate due to its gentle winds and calm seas and is the perfect sailing spot. Add on a few days in Athens before or after the trip to explore the history of this Ancient Greek city.
