One of the things we've been dying to do in Europe is eat real pasta and drink wine on a patio in Italy. We've talked about it for nearly 6 months. Today, that dream has been accomplished! Great pasta. Great wine. Great country. And we're practicing some Italian too. We're awesome at it. If awesome means so very very bad.

You guys are having so much fun!! Im so excited for you!.. Maybe you should go to Portugal (Lisbon)! Let me know and I’ll see what I can do :)
It’s a blast for sure! And we actually have a flight out of Lisbon on Sept 9. So we want to be there no later than Sept 7. Are you traveling to Portugal this summer? I thought you said something about a trip a while back. Definitely let me know if so!
btw, i am just loving your blog! I eat it up. World travel is so exciting. love to see all your pictures and hear about your international adventures!
Thanks Aisling! I really appreciate that. Glad you’re enjoying the blog. We try to keep it as updated as possible without letting it consume our travel time. And I agree, world travel is very exciting! Now we just have to figure out a way to earn money while doing it!
You should add a donation button on your blog. You’re doing some really great humanitarian work. Im sure if you got the word out people would gladly donate to your efforts. Seriously.
I’ve definitely thought about it. We might do that if we apply for a fourth volunteer program early next year to help fund it.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Uh, Jealous! I went to Italy when I was 16, and LOVED everything about it. The sites & history, the pizza, the pasta, the gelato (And you’ve got to try a hot chocolate there too. It’s just like liquid chocolate. Super rich and delicious). I think it’s impossible not to have a good time in Italy. Try a Margherita Pizza. That one was always my favorite. So fun for you guys!
Where all will you be going?
Yea, Italy was great. But we only had 3 or 4 days there. Definitely not enough time. I think we’ll try to go back. Now we’re in France for a week. From here? I really don’t know yet. That’s the best part of traveling, not knowing where you’ll go next! But we have 2-3 months to explore Europe. I’m thinking possibly Spain after this. But we’ll absolutely keep everyone updated once we know.
yea, we tried to order pizza today, didn’t do too well until we were lucky enough to have a lady waiting to order who spoke english. Thank you nice lady! Nothing was close enought to spanish, french or english for me to get by!
Buon Appetito!
Grazie!
