Welcome to Nepal, the birthplace of Buddha and home to the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest.
While we haven’t personally conquered the Mother of the Universe ourselves, the soaring mountain continues to climb higher and higher on our bucket list. But with all the logistical aspects of this challenging endeavour, it’s become clear an organized tour is easily the best option. Enter Out Adventures, the only gay tour operator currently hosting treks to Everest Base Camp. Their all-gay expedition begins in the country’s capital Kathmandu before taking flight over the haunting Himalayas and landing in Lukla to adjust to the altitude. After everyone has acclimatized, laced up, and said adieu to flushing toilets, the tour sets off.
The south of France is a hugely popular destination year-round and Nice, the second largest city of the region after Marseille, lives up to the hype. As it continues to grow, the city is adding a new underground section to its charming tramway system which cuts right through the brightly colored Place Masséna. On our third visit to the city, we weren’t surprised to discover that Nice still had wonderful things to show us. With a population of around one million, the city is well known for being one of the most popular gay-friendly destinations in southern France. In addition, the delightful shops, certified restaurants serving up authentic Cuisine Nissarde (try Chez Theresa for an affordable, family owned spot or Sentimi for a certified gay-friendly Italian restaurant), vibrant markets (the Flower and Vegetable market in the Old Town of course) and annual events make it a destination worth experiencing anytime of the year.

Just 90 minutes away from Boston is a tiny seaside town on the tip of Cape Cod that has as much history as it does gay culture. While many remember from history class that Plymouth Rock was where the Pilgrims settled in 1620, it was in fact Provincetown where the Pilgrims first landed before passing onto Plymouth and settling what would soon become the US. But American history aside, P-Town, like many popular, small gay getaways, has been completely taken over by the LGBT community. With a population of about 3,000, the small New England getaway boasts 40+ gay guesthouses, 10+ gay bars and clubs, 2 gay beaches while also hosting a dozen or more LGBT events throughout the year.
Spain has incredible annual events that draw many visitors to places all over the peninsular country and its islands. Of course being one of the most gay-friendly nations in Europe and the world, it’s no surprise that the country has plenty of year round events to offer the LGBT community. With plenty of warm and sunny days you could spend months exploring the big cities and Spanish countryside, but given you probably have just a short time to visit you’ve got to pick the best and most exciting. If you’re looking to join a gay group trip or event, our friends at Spain 7 Degrees will take you effortlessly to these destinations showing the best they have to offer. Here are 3 new LGBT events this year not to be missed!
