Ever since 2018, we have been hosting our own gay sailing trip each summer. Our first hosted trip started in Croatia and then the following year we sailed the Greek Islands. Since we first started our own trips in 2018 we have hosted over 70 guests on some amazing summer adventures.

We've enjoyed getting to know readers of our blog and our social media followers since we all share the same passion. We've had a blast on all these trips and gotten such great feedback from our guests that we've decided to expand our hosted trips in 2023. In fact, we recently sent out a survey to get feedback on where you'd like to travel with us. The data came back with an overwhelming interest in 5 destinations—Spain, France , Italy, Greece and Croatia—and we can't say we're surprised!

While all incredibly different, each country offers amazing travel opportunities. Croatia, Italy and Greece are amazing for sailing and Spain is laid back and gay-friendly. So for 2023, we're excited to announce that we'll be promoting not just one, but three gay sailing destinations to Croatia, Italy and Greece, with multiple departure dates through the summer. And in addition, we'll be hosting two land tours in Spain where we'll be exploring Barcelona and Sitges plus Madrid, Toledo and Segovia. Finally, we'll be hosting two gay group cruises on Virgin Voyages to cruise the Mediterranean including France, Spain, Greece and Turkey. All of our friends and followers are invited to join any (or all!) of these trips in 2023.

Want to learn more? Check out the three trips below and let us know if you're able to join and travel to these incredible destinations.

Gay Group Tour of Barcelona and Sitges hosted by Two Bad Tourists

Dates: May 9-15, 2024
Destination/Route: Barcelona and Sitges, Spain
Trip Type: Gay group trip (10-20 guests)
Hosted by: Two Bad Tourists, yep that’s us!

Spain is an amazing destination and it's one of the most progressive places in the world for the LGBT+ community. We've partnered with The Queer Travel who helped assemble the itinerary of this gay Spain group tour and will manage the reservations as well as all the on-the-ground logistics. This will be an awesome gay group trip so you can come with a friend, that special someone or even come alone. In fact, many guests on our hosted trips are solo travelers so you won't be alone and you can make new friends while we explore together. Spain is famous around the world for its cultural traditions, great beaches, history and welcoming atmosphere. As the third country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage back in 2005, it’s no surprise that Spain is welcoming to the LGBT+ community. For the 2nd year in a row, we'll be your hosts on this incredible trip to Barcelona and Sitges where you can tickle your imagination with images of flamenco dancers in the night, sounds of wine glasses clashing amongst Spanish banter, infinite tapas landing on your table and the sea breeze lightly brushing your skin as the water crashes onto the coast. The Spaniards live with passion and a thirst for life. Open your heart, mind and drink it in. Let us show you the magic of this amazing destination.

Gay Group Tour of Madrid, Toledo & Segovia hosted by Two Bad Tourists

Dates: September 7-13, 2023 (Last spots remaining!)
Destination/Route: Madrid, Toledo & Segovia, Spain
Trip Type: Gay group trip (10-20 guests)
Hosted by: Two Bad Tourists, yep that’s us!

Madrid is perhaps not as well known of a gay destination as its Catalan sister in the northeast, Barcelona. But the truth is that Madrid is a bigger city with more offerings from a nightlife perspective and many LGBT+ oriented events throughout the year. There are very few cities in the world that offer the same kind of welcome to LGBT+ residents and visitors. Madrid is a fantastic destination especially if you enjoy local neighborhoods, art, the gay scene, nightlife and beautiful weather. After exploring the capital city for several days, we'll later head out on day trips to both Toledo and Segovia, which are both just an hour's drive from Madrid. Toledo is a medieval town that was once the capital of Spain before the Royal family moved the capital to Madrid in the 1500's. Segovia is another famous town nearby known for its Roman aqueduct as well as the fairytale-style castle. We'll spend the days exploring these medieval towns through their curving alleyways, cultural museums and historic monuments. We'll be your hosts on this incredible trip to Madrid with day trips to Toledo & Segovia from September 7-13, 2023.

Greece Gay Group Sailing Trip

Dates: July 1st – 8th, 2023
Destination/Route: Round trip from Athens, Greece
Type: Small Boat (8 guests per boat)
Dress code: Clothing-optional

Due to the past years’ success and popularity of our sailing trips in both Croatia and Greece, we are expanding our partnership with a Europe-based gay sailing company for both a Croatia and a gay Greece sailing trip in the same summer season. So depending on your choice of destination or available time off, you can join either one, or both! For Greece in 2023, we specifically chose Athens as the departure port since it makes booking flights simple with lots of direct options from Europe and abroad. The itinerary from Athens features a variety of islands and mainland ports including Hydra, Spetses, Porto Heli, Ermioni, Poros and Agistri. This group of islands known as the Saronics offers picturesque and energetic stops where you can discover local culture, classical architecture and the best of Greek cuisine, all while enjoying breathtaking islands, ports and local hospitality. It's the side of Greece where sailors gravitate due to it's gentle winds and calm seas and is the perfect sailing spot. Add on a few days in Athens before or after the trip to explore the history of this Ancient Greek city.
