FiveBadTourists: Lake Titicaca From The Shores Of Puno
Our time traveling as FiveBadTourists through Peru was quickly coming to an end. My older sister, Tasia, and her husband, Adam, had a flight to catch in Puno the following day after our visit to Machu Picchu’s glorious ruins. The plan was to take the train from Machu Picchu back to the town of Ollantaytambo arriving at 7:30pm. Then we’d have to take a two hour van ride back to Cusco to catch an overnight bus that was leaving for Puno at 10pm. This gave us only a thirty minute buffer so we didn’t have a minute spare!
First Time Traveler Heads To Peru
This is a post from Megan Brown, David’s former womb-mate (twin) and a graphic designer/new travel addict/ fellow wine-lover living in Chicago. She’s the witty mind behind TheCardAisle.com where you can find the funniest most creativist greeting cards ever. She also designed our super cool TBT logo that’s practically the best part of our blog. You can see more of her work on her portfolio website.
City Girl, Meet the World
Though I’ve been out of the country before, I guess I don’t really count driving across the border into Mexico with my girlfriends in a periwinkle-colored minivan as a true international adventure. The trip to South America was my first big, real, super-awesome, international trip. As most people say, it’s interesting to see how you react to new things when you are far from your comfort zone.
