We've also include a couple of our favorite search and booking sites to help you plan your trip – whether flying, going by train or bus.

Kayak (Explore)

4

Kayak is our go-to booking site when searching for flights. They offer complete flexibility in searching for the cheapest flight options to a given city. One of the coolest features is their ‘Kayak Explore' page which allows you to choose a city and find all flights departing from that city within a certain time frame. You can filter the results by price and discover the cheapest possible flights to a destination. If you're flexible in your dates and the travel destination this can be a great option for low cost travel to new places you might not otherwise consider.

Uber

2

Uber is evolving the way the world moves. No longer are traditional taxis your only option. The service connects riders to drivers through an smartphone app. You can get a taxi, private car or ride share from your mobile phone within minutes in 60 different countries. Rates vary based on the service but you can easily get a ride for much cheaper than a local taxi. Uber automatically takes care of payment with your credit card via the app. Never tried Uber before? Sign up using the link below to receive a $20 free credit to use on your first ride or use the code S6UQQ when registering.

Note: Due to recent political events, we prefer and recommend Lyft over Uber. Unfortunately, Lyft is not as widely available in an international scale as Uber is, but if you're planning on ride-sharing in the US, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia or The Philippines, then you're in luck and can choose Lyft instead.
