If you want to take a journey to the Flemish country, consider a day trip to Brugge, which is roughly an hour away by train. Brugge is known as the ‘Venice of Belgium’ as it's situated on a series of beautiful waterways. This pastoral city is a nice break from the big city vibe found in downtown Brussels.
