The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

I love Istanbul, a vibrant city, nice and friendly people, I travelled with my daughter and we felt super safe. There are several historical places to visit, my favourites were the Basilica Cisterns, Fatih Mosque, and Galata Tower, the markets (Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar) are unique, and excellent food (prove the Turkish delights, coffee and tea). It was a dive into a different world. I strongly recommend visiting Turkey.

The museum prices are the same or more that the uk. DONT GET RIPPED OFF BY BUYING A PASS IT ONLY WORKS ON ONE OT TWO SITES. If your Turkish lower price maybe we should have this two tier system. Don’t by the big meal deals for two or 3 the picture is not what you get. Go to restaurants down side street seam to be more honest.

Visit to Hagia Sophia and museum, and the Blue Mosque are a must. We also really enjoyed a boat trip on the Bosphorus and a visit to the Basilica Cistern. Visits to museums and historical sites are expensive- $30-$50 per person.

For lovers of history its a great city and ideal for a short break of c.3/4nights. You can walk to most of the sights in the old town if staying there. If only a light bag you can get the metro in from the airport (bit of a pain with heavier bags) - very cheap.
If you want to visit a cistern, don't go to the basilica cistern. Instead go to the Serefiye cistern - smaller, cheaper but with a great light show.
The Tefkur Palace on the Theodosian walls is a great place to visit and has marvellous views over the city.
If going on a Bosphorous trip buy it at the harbour side- its cheaper.

A more than abundant choice of places to eat at any time of the day or evening. Everyone very friendly. All reasonably priced too. A fantastic city with lovely people. Transport was excellent, particularly the trams. Everything was done on time. Very busy, even at the end of May but the weather was just right (around 23 c) every day. Great transport links and organised journeys to and from the airport (via Booking.com) with taxis took the stress out of the visit. Mostly amazing sights around every corner. We found that five nights was just right and it left us with a few things to go back for at a future date, Well done Istanbul.

A great little hotel in Sultanahmet within 5 minutes walk Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
The hospitality of the staff is excellent, very friendly and attentive. They are happy to book your airport transfers and help with suggestions and bookings. Breakfast is excellent - a good selection of continental/Turkish style buffet, with a selection of cooked options. Would definitely stay again if we return to Istanbul.
The hotel is located in a very lively and nice area, close to Taksim Square. There are numerous restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was very cosy and clean. It was also quiet. The staff was very nice and ready to help. They welcomed us with cakes and coffee. They organized us a VIP transfer to the airport in a very early morning. I strongly recommend this place to stay in Istanbul.
Myself and a friend wanted somewhere to stay while we explored the tourist spots of Istanbul for a few days. The hotel was great for us, with clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location was great. Close to the shops and cafes around Galata Tower but still quiet at night. A few minutes from the ferry terminal and not too far to walk to Sultanahmet or Taksim Square.
I loved this hotel, which is 5 minutes walking distance from Taksim Square. The staff is very polite and helpful. The best part is that it is a family business. Next time I come to Istanbul, I will definitely stay in this hotel with my family. It was very clean and nice. Thank you very much to Mr. Gökhan and Mr. Orhan who helped with everything.
