We will no longer be backpacking around the world!

Instead, we have decided to “shopping cart” around the world. We have found our backpacks to be way too heavy and our bodies are far too lazy for such a task. I'm really looking forward to this new way of travel and am sure it will catch on quickly for others.

In smaller news, we actually won't be making it to Israel and Egypt as we originally intended. I'm SUPER bummed! After looking at all the logistics of it though, it makes the most sense (financially and time-wise) to continue traveling in Europe for our last few weeks before we leave for Ghana. It wasn't ideal, but it does mean we have more time to spend in Greece, Portugal and Turkey!

Well, I for one think it is VERY exciting that you are pushing around a EUROPEAN shopping cart. Do they handle differently? Loving reading about your trip still. Stay safe, Love, Aunt Patty and Uncle Pat

Funny you should ask because yes, they do handle differently. Or more expensivley I should say. You have to put in a euro to unlock the cart from its spot and to get your money back you have to lock it up again. Pretty clever I think. I don’t know why we don’t do that in the US. It would prevent all those shopping carts from being scattered all over the parking lot.

…. and I imagine it’s difficult remembering to stay on the left hand side!

Yea, I definitely did not get used to that in London. Even though all the signs remind you.

  3. and you can take turns riding in the cart too!

  4. another thing, you don’t want to go every where in one year, then where would you go on vacation for the next 60 years of your life!

Very true! We have to save some places for later. :)
